COMMITTEES
Hot Springs Village also has nine staffed committees which are responsible for
advising the staff and Board of Directors.
Architectural Control Committee
The Architectural Control Committee is
the only committee included in the Declaration and protects the general
character, appearance, and use of Hot Springs Village. The committee
evaluates residential and commercial construction projects, and issues
permission to proceed through the permit process of the Planning &
Inspections Department.
The committee consists of five members, one selected by the Developer, and
four recommended by the POA Board of Directors and approved by the
Developer. Each member serves staggered five-year terms.
Committee members are: Leland Kew (2012), Mike Christy (2011), Chair Bob Brandt (2010), Gary Weeter,
(2009), and Bob Kostelecky (2008). Staff Liaison is Beverly Ellison and
Board Liaison is Jeff Atkins.
ACC meetings are held the first and third
Thursdays of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the POA Administration Building.

Golf
The Golf Committee advised the POA staff on matters
pertaining to Golf Department functions in the areas of play, course
operations, and others as may be brought before the committee within the
policies and guidelines of the Board of Directors. The committee consists of nine members who are
appointed for three-year staggered terms. Committee members are Bill Kasdorf
(2010), Chair Tom Elliott (2010), Thomas Gavos (2010), Neal Vinyard
(2009), Carrie Thomsen (2009), Bill Garrison (2009), Larry Siler (2008),
Paula Heney (2008), and Bill Behan (2008).Staff Liaison is John Paul and
Board Liaison is Teri Jackson.

Governmental Affairs
Governmental Affairs Committee advises and assists the POA Board in enhancing Village relationships with area, local, state and
federal government agencies, elected officials, and abutting schools
districts. The committee consists of nine members,
appointed for staggered three-year terms. The members of the committee are:
Chair Tom Arwood (2010), Keith Brown (2010), James Zahnd (2010), Tom Bryant (2009), Art Saalfield (2009), Tom Gallagher (2009), Herb Perrin (2008), Jerry Yeric (2008),
and Ron Petti (2008). There are two vacancies on the committee. Staff Liaison is Linda Mayhood and Board Liaison is Bob Shoemaker.
Governmental Affairs meets the Friday after the
first Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Coronado Community Center.

lake and water issues.. The committee consists of seven members
appointed to three-year staggered terms. The committee members are: Henry
Browder (2010), Donald Langston (2010), Gordon Behnke (2009), Tom Noble (2009), Phil Mellor (2009),
Chair Shirley Bartle (2008), and Charles Fagan (2008). The Staff Liaison is David Whitlow and the Board Liaison
is Mike Misch.
The Lakes & Water Committee meets the
second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Coronado Community
Center.
This committee was formerly the Lakes & Water

Common Property & Forest
The Common Property & Forest Committee advises the POA on matters
pertaining to Hot Springs Village as it relates to common property,
forestry, and wildlife issues. It is charged in its deliberations to
protect the general character, appearance and use of common property; and to
protect and enhance the property values and environment of Hot Springs
Village.
The committee consists of seven members appointed to three-year staggered
terms. The committee members are: Roy Land (2010), Paul Newall (2010), Bruce Caverly (2009), Ruth Kosoglow
(2009), Lynn Sackett (2008), Bob Case (2008),
and Chair Guy Yates (2008).The Staff Liaison
is Steve White and the Board Liaison is Bill Linam.
Common Property & Forest Committee meets the
first Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the POA Administration Building.

matters pertaining to Public Works functions in the areas of
Village streets, POA buildings, and traffic control devices within the
policies and guidelines of the Board of Directors. The committee may also
receive various ad hoc special requests to assist other staff functions and
the Board of Directors. The committee consists of
ten members appointed for staggered three-year terms. The committee members
are: Gene Kerr (2010), Ron Kohler (2010), William Monson (2010), Edward Bertnolli
(2009), Clyde Berry (2009), Chair Bill Long (2009), John Paulson (2008),

The Research and Special Projects
Committee studies, reports and offers recommendations relative to financial
matters of the Hot Springs Village Property Owners' Association that are
assigned to the committee from time to time. The committee consists of seven members appointed to three-year
staggered terms. The members are: Paul Wirtz (2010), Gerald Dunaway (2010), Donald Hendricks (2009), John Lands
(2009), Wilbur Smithers (2011), and Chair Martin Hanna (2008).The Staff Liaison is Wayne Copeland
and the Board Liaison Mike Misch.

The Trails Committee advises the POA on all matters relative to development,
operation, and maintenance of the Village trails system. The committee
consists of seven member appointed for three-year staggered terms. The
members are: Steve Rittenmeyer (2010), Judy Owens (2010), Claire MacNeill (2009), Jim Gifford (2009), Carl Skoglund (2008),
Chair John Tidquist (2008), and Carolyn Minson

The Trails Committee meets the Tuesday preceding the third Wednesday of each
month at 1:30 p.m. at the Coronado Community Center.
