OUTDOOR POOL
The DeSoto Pool is open from Memorial Day
weekend through Labor Day weekend.
There are separate water areas for family fun: the swim
tank, three to five feet deep; and the dive tank is 11 feet deep and features
a diving board.
The pool area has loungers, umbrella covered
tables, shaded areas, snack bar and a locker room facility with showers.

Monday through Friday -
May 30 - August 12:
11:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
July 4: 10:00 a.m.
until 6:00 p.m.
September 5: 10:00 a.m.
until 6:00 p.m.
Saturday -
May 28 - September 3:
10:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Sunday -
May 29 - September 4:
1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Learn to Swim Lessons for Children
Swim lessons are taught by qualified instructors
for children ages 18 months and up, Monday - Friday. Fee is due at
registration: $25.00 per child, per session. Registration and payment of fees
for all classes begin at DeSoto Pools on May 28, 10:00 a.m.
Children are placed in Class Levels depending on their swimming
ability. Each class lasts one week. Classes are held at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00
a.m.
** Infant (6-18 months, 10:00 a.m.) and Toddler (18 months
up to 3 years, 10:30 a.m.) classes
will be held during Session 3 and 4 only. A parent or guardian is required
in the pool with each infant or toddler.
Session 1: June 20- June 24
Session 2: June 27 - July 1
Session 3: July 11 - July 15**
Session 4: July 18 - July 22**
Session 5: July 25 - July 29
Session 6: August 1 - August 5
Regulations for
Minors using DeSoto Pools and the Coronado Fitness Center
Anyone under 18 years of
age (minors) must be checked into the DeSoto Pools and Coronado Fitness
Center using one of the following methods.
1. Present a POA
dependent picture ID card or a Temporary Dependent ID
card with the
property owner’s ID number on it.
2. Present a POA renter
picture I.D. card.
3. If the minor is a
guest of a POA member, the POA member must
accompany the minor,
show his/her POA card and sign the minor in.
4. If the minor is a child of a visitor,
a
renter (minor does not have a POA
picture ID card), or a reciprocal member,
the minor must be checked in by
the responsible adult with the proper POA
issued I.D. card.
5. All minors must wear a pool issued,
pre-numbered Identification wrist
band.
Bands allow pool staff and fitness center staff
to notify the responsible adult in case of an emergency.
Children ages 6 and under who cannot pass the swim test must
be accompanied in the water at all times by a responsible adult.
