PUBLIC SAFETY
Hot Springs Village is the largest gated
community in the United States with access available through security gates.
The west gate is located on Highway 7 North and is staffed 24-hours a day.
The east gate is located on Highway 5 and is staffed from 5:30 a.m. until
10:30 p.m. Access through gates not staffed is by computerized
identification cards that allow property owners access to Hot Springs
Village.
Safety and security in Hot Springs Village is a priority. The Village has
one of the lowest crime rates in the state or nation and has a full police
force. Hot Springs Village police officers are commissioned in both Garland
and Saline County, the two counties in which Hot Springs Village is located.
Hot Springs Village has four fire stations located strategically throughout
the area.
Hot Springs Village also has an Animal Shelter which is responsible for
picking up stray animals, advising property owners about nuisance wildlife,
relocating wildlife and providing care for the animals at the shelter. The
Animal Welfare League man the adoption desk, promote the shelter, and
provides funds for veterinarian bills. |
