Recreation in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas

Hot Springs Village was once described as a community of lakes surrounded by land. And it's still true today. We have seven recreational lakes, with four additional recreational lakes currently in development or under construction.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission stocks our lakes and monitors their progress. The result is bass, crappie, catfish and more, so big you don't have to exaggerate their size. Just in case you forget your fishing supplies, or perhaps your boat, we have two marinas that rent pontoon, paddle or fishing boats, as well as canoes, and they have fishing equipment, bait and fishing licenses for sale.

Our three beaches are also a popular attraction, especially in the summer. Fill your shoes with sand or dip your toes in the lake, but don't miss our beautiful beaches. Pavilions are also a popular gathering place in the spring, summer and fall. Our pavilions are used for family reunions, picnics, barbecues, and other social gatherings.

Hot Springs Village is simply a large playground for all ages. Our golf courses, lakes, recreational centers, and swimming pools appeal to the playful side of almost everybody.

If your backhand needs perfecting, try our clay tennis courts. We have on staff teaching professionals to help improve your game.

Keeping in shape is a top priority in Hot Springs Village. The Coronado Fitness Center features an indoor 25-meter pool and a weight and exercise room with the latest exercise equipment. We also have a whirlpool, saunas and customized individual programs that are developed by the fitness center's staff.

For the young or the young at heart, the DeSoto Family Recreation Area has a program for all ages. Miniature golf, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, and a playground are real hits for year round fun.

A large part of summer fun always surrounds the outdoor pools. We have three pools in the DeSoto complex for all ages.

With so many golf courses, lakes and recreational opportunities, Hot Springs Village has dedicated 25% of its 26,000 acres to green space, areas left in their beautiful natural state. This means you will never feel crowded here.

To enjoy these natural areas, we have over 20 miles of wooded trails developed in Hot Springs Village. Hiking, jogging, bird watching, or strolling, our trails are some of the best anywhere. We also have multi-purpose trails for golf carts and bicycles.
