Lake Recreation

 

Lakes and lake recreation are an essential part of living in or visiting Hot Springs Village.

 

With eight recreational lakes and three more in various stages of construction, Hot Springs Village is a community of lakes surrounded by land.

 

In addition to the eight recreation lakes, there are three beaches (no lifeguards), two covered pavilions, and two full-service marinas.

Lake Balboa

Boat Ramp ~ Pavilion ~ Beach ~ Beach Shelters ~ Marina ~ Boat Rentals ~ Rental Slips

Lake Balboa, at 944 acres, is the largest recreation lake within the Village. Located off of Ponce de Leon Drive, Lake Balboa has a boat ramp, covered pavilion, sand beach, and a full-service marina. The boat ramp features a floating dock.

The covered pavilion has picnic tables, fireplace, grills, PA system and restroom facilities. The pavilion will seat up to 348 people.

The beach area is sand and has beach shelters, picnic tables and grills available on a first come first serve basis.

The full-service marina has covered and non-covered slip rentals, boat rentals, grocery items and much more.

Fishing, swimming, and water sports are allowed. Speed limit is 35 mph.

 

Lake Coronado

Boat Ramp ~ Rental Slips

Lake Coronado is approximately 380 acres with a boat ramp located off Murillo Drive.

Near the boat ramp is Anglers Island, a quiet spot for fishing or relaxing. Picnic tables and grills are available.

Boat slip rentals are available through the Balboa Marina. The slips are located on Lake Coronado behind the Coronado Fitness Center, 160 Ponderosa Lane.

Fishing, swimming, and water sports are allowed. Speed limit is 30 mph.

 

Lake Cortez

Boat Ramp ~ Pavilion ~ Beach

Lake Cortez is 245 acres and has a boat ramp and covered pavilion located off Carmona Road.

The Cortez Pavilion is covered and offers seating for 216. Picnic tables, fireplace, grills, restrooms, PA system, and volleyball equipment and area are also available.

The Cortez Beach is pea gravel and has picnic tables, grills and restroom facilities available. It is located off Sereno Lane.

Fishing, swimming, and water sports are allowed. Speed limit is 30 mph.

 

Lake DeSoto

Boat Ramp ~ Beach ~ Marina ~ Boat Rentals ~ Rental Slips

Lake DeSoto is approximately 200 acres and has a boat ramp and full-service marina.

Located off DeSoto Boulevard, non-covered rental slips are available, as well as boat, canoe, and paddle boat rentals.

The DeSoto Beach, located off Seville, features pea gravel, picnic tables and grills.

Fishing, swimming and water sports are allowed. Speed limit is 30 mph.

 

Lake Granada

Lake Granada Boat Ramp Lake Granada is 54 acres and has a boat ramp located off Gusta Lane.

Fishing and swimming are allowed, however, skiing is not. The speed limit is 20 mph.

 

Lake Isabella

Lake Isabella Boat Ramp Lake Isabella is 25 acres and has a boat ramp located off Pillar Lane.

Fishing and swimming are allowed, water sports are not. Speed limit is NO WAKE.

 

Lake Pineda

Lake Pineda Boat Ramp Lake Pineda is 62 acres and has a boat ramp located off Camino Road.

Fishing and swimming are allowed, water sports are not. Speed limit is 20 mph.

 

Lake Segovia

Lake Segovia Lake Segovia is approximately 11 acres and does not have a boat ramp.

Fishing and swimming are allowed, water sports are not. Speed limit is NO WAKE.

 

Under Construction/Reservoir

There are three additional recreation lakes in Hot Springs Village under construction; Lake Maria, Lake Sophia, and Lake Estrella.

Lake Lago is the Village’s water reservoir. People and boats are NOT ALLOWED AT ANYTIME.

 

Personal Watercraft

Personal Watercraft are NOT allowed on any of the Village’s lakes.
